Masterclass with Dr Ben Furman
What is
MASTERCLASS?
Masterclass is an advanced form of training led by a recognised expert, Dr Ben Furman – a master in his field – for people who already have basic knowledge and experience. It is in-depth, practical work on participants' real challenges.
Why sign up?
Masterclass means:
- direct contact with Dr Ben Furman,
- practical answers to real problems,
- working among practitioners – a shared language,
- building a community of practitioners.
What are its
features?
- it is led by an authority with many years of experience,
- a focus on practice, not theory,
- analysis of real cases,
- the opportunity to ask questions and work on your own professional situations,
- a professional character.
Unlike a standard webinar, a masterclass: requires active participation, is based on dialogue and reflection, and develops skills to master level.
In the context of working with children and families, this means: deepening skills, greater precision of interventions, and increased effectiveness and confidence in action.
The idea of development through Masterclass
Masterclass is a space where experienced practitioners learn from a master – and from each other.
It is a space for those who already know the fundamentals and want to reach master level.
Who is Masterclass for?
For those who:
- want to work smarter, not harder,
- believe in the child's potential,
- are looking for development at expert level,
Course of the masterclass
A format of intensive, 120-minute, in-depth work.
Each Masterclass lasts 2 hours and consists of three distinct stages:
Introduction by the Foundation
15 min
A representative of the Foundation: places the topic in the reality of Polish schools, foster families and facilities, presents the most common challenges faced by practitioners, and links the issue with the Kids’ Skills method and the experience of specialists.
This is a moment for context, a shared language and current data from practice.
Masterclass
30 min + 60 min
Lecture by Dr Ben Furman (up to 30 min)
The essence of knowledge and concrete tools:
- how to work with a given challenge in the spirit of SFBT,
- what questions to ask,
- how to avoid typical pitfalls,
- how to build the process of change step by step.
This is not theory – these are practical tools to put into practice the very next day.
Question and answer session (60 minutes )
Participants send in questions using a questionnaire available on the Foundation's website. Dr Furman answers the most important and most frequently asked ones – without rushing, with examples and mini case supervision.
It is a space for:
- real dilemmas from work,
- difficult situations with parents,
- doubts about trauma, violence and burnout,
- questions about the effectiveness and limits of the method.
It is this part that makes the series a masterclass.
Go to the questionnaire to ask a question >>Note: Asking questions is optional – you can also take part in the Masterclass without sending a question.
Connection and community
15 min
Work in subgroups, moderated sharing of experiences: What was most important to me? What will I put into practice within 7 days? What one micro-step will I take when I get back to my own world?
We are building a community of practitioners who: speak the same language, support each other professionally and share micro-successes.

Neo Energy Group.
Neo Energy Group, as one of the leading developers and operators of renewable energy sources (RES), is continuously involved in sustainable development activities. The company also takes part in social initiatives that not only promote the well-being of children and young people but also build their psychological resilience – a protective shield and a key element of their health and prosperity. By supporting the ULICA Foundation and its Centre, NEG actively contributes to the development of ecopsychology and Dr Ben Furman's ideas. It also shows that responsible business and sustainable development mean investing not only in technology but also in people – especially the young generation. The innovation that is part of Neo Energy Group's DNA is also visible in the work of the Foundation and the concept it promotes, which uses modern tools to rebuild and strengthen the psychological resilience of the youngest. As a result, children's problems begin to be seen differently. They become processes of learning new skills that help overcome difficulties and initiate the process of desired change. Making these initiatives available to local communities is further proof that Neo Energy Group understands and takes very seriously its social role, which has the power to drive positive change. By supporting the ULICA Foundation, the company joins forces with those working for a better tomorrow, in which every child – regardless of where they live – has the chance to develop healthily in harmony with the world around them
